A Pennsylvania court ruled that Google is required to hand over email correspondence stored on servers outside the US to the FBI.

A New York court ruled 6 months ago, in a similar case that Microsoft is not required to hand over information stored on servers outside the US.

Google says that is relied on the Microsoft precedent in its refusal to surrender the information.
