| Following the recommendation of the Judicial Conference of the U.S. Supreme Court`s Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure, new rules for electronic discovery of documents in civil cases will go into effect in December. According to the new law, companies involved in civil litigation will have to meet within 30 days after case`s filing in order to discuss how to handle electronic data. If the companies fail to comply with the new rules, it could be costly for them. |
